Remembering Judy Heumann

1947-2023

Judith Heumann is now a disabled ancestor. She died yesterday on March 4, 2023. You can read a statement from her website and this article from NPR about her life and work. In 2018 I interviewed Judy for my podcast for an episode on mentoring and she interviewed me for her podcast The Heumann Perspective.

To honor her memory and legacy, I am giving away 25 paperback copies of her memoir, Being Heumann: An Unrepentant Memoir of a Disability Rights Activist, co-authored by Kristen Joiner. Details below.
